Carries out the comparative analysis of American LEED, British BREEAM, Australian Green Star, Singapors Green Mark and China green building rating system in order to understand their similarities and differences in green building performance assessment. Analyses the features of frames, scoring and weighting systems in each certification system. The result shows that energy related requirements in each system account for the largest proportion. In terms of the energy requirements in green buildings, compares the energy related items in various green building rating systems. The results show that energy related requirements can be classified into three categories: energy demand reduction, renewable energy use and environmental benefits; and LEED, BREEAM and Green Star are focused on the energy saving effect assessment, while Green Mark and green building rating system emphasize the application of energy saving measures. Summarizes the key factors of energy performance of green buildings and puts forward some suggestions to improve energy efficiency of green buildings.
